The Archtops

Dress - H&M
Boots - New Look (sale)
Socks - Primark

Last weekend Dan and I took a little trip to Southend to watch our friends band "The Archtops" play. The weather was glorious and balmy when we left so tights and a coat weren't even considered...but at the seaside it was frigging ARCTIC and super windy so in hindsight it might have been a wise idea to wrap up!

If I'm honest, H&M may have been partly to blame for my lack of common sense and warm clothing. I picked up this little jem of a dress for £14.99 the other day and with it's chunky stripe print, shift shape and high neck it was too beaut to hide...

The gig was amaaaaaazing and we had the best night ever. There are no words for how musically talented those boys are, they had everyone up dancing and singing along in no time! They're playing a couple of wicked dates over the Summer so if you're at all interested, do check them out HERE.

Growing Up Easy

Dress - Missguided (last year)
Boots - New Look (sale)

It's getting to that point in my life when I'm starting to realise that my friends are growing up. Over the last 12 months things have started to change. Nights out have been replaced with mid week bookclub, vodka and skittles swapped for wine and cheese, weddings are being planned, houses bought and the some are even having children!

Last Sunday was the day of my friend Rachel's baby shower. A day to officially confirm that she will soon become a mother and is therefore more grown up than the rest of us put together! It's absolutely terrifying and totally amazing in equal measure.

In my mind baby showers are a bit of a nondescript when it comes to dress code and quite tricky to dress for, but in the end I opted for this old Missguided skater dress. It was on my lust list for Summer 2013 but by the time I finally got my hands on it, the weather had turned and the poor thing's been sitting in my cupboard waiting for it's moment ever since!

My ratty old hair extensions made a reappearance *mental note - must buy a new set soon* and I topped the the whole look off with my New Look stomper boots to stop it becoming EVEN MORE frothy and girlie.

The whole day was lovely. We ate baby food, chose baby names, unwrapped presents and serenaded the momma to be with tunes from Frozen before heading home clutching our party bags!

I can't wait to meet the little one (not long now!) and with aunties like these it's going to be the best dressed bub around!

Hey Sunday Girl

This is the outfit I wore for pub crawling round Islington on the bank holiday weekend. The weather was amazing so we didn't take coats and by the time it started to cool down we had our beer jackets on anyway!

T Shirt - Primark (sale)
Cardigan - Primark
Jeans - Primark (DIY rips)
Boots - Primark (old)

I don't know whether I love or hate that this outfit is head to to Primark...#firstworldproblems

If I ever had a staple outfit this is pretty much it. If you've watched my FASHION TAG video I mentioned that stripey t shirts and ankle boots are my weakness; I have far too many of both but I practically live in them so I guess that makes it ok?

Last month I discovered Primark "Ultra Soft Super Skinny" jeans and have had them encasing my legs ever since. I took a pair of scissors to these bad boys and completely ripped the knees out of them in a fit of DIY! They cost £11 but the fit and feel of them is amazing. They really are "super skinny" without any hint of camel toe which is a rarity nowadays!

This weekend I'm popping down to Bristol to celebrate my little sister's 22nd birthday and make the most of the rumoured heatwave...fingers crossed! Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

MY HAIR ROUTINE - WASH/DRY/STYLE

Watch it HERE

A video on how I do my hair has been highly requested and I finalllllllllly got round to making it the other day!

I'd never really thought about it before but watching it back made me realise how complicated and time consuming it is! I've been using all these products for a while now and they really do work for me but won't be everyone's cup of tea. The only product I'm not a fan of is the VO5 texturising spray...the Charles Worthington one is definitely better...but it was the only one I had to hand!

If you have any questions do let me know!

1,500 Pennies

Fedora - Topman sale similar HERE
Cardigan - Charity Shop
T shirt - COS
Leggings - H&M (old)
Converse - Office

This cardigan might be my best EVER charity shop find!

I spied it whilst browsing through the Bristol charity shops with my sister over the Easter weekend and was instantly smitten! From the colours to the oversized shape and the fluffy texture of the knit, it's perfect and only cost me a measly £15!!

I like to think I don't own many "marmite" love/hate items...but turns out this definitely is one. Although I couldn't think of anything more beautiful it has actually made some people gag!
Are you a lover or a hater?

What's New Pussycat?

ASOS Sunglasses - HERE

I find it impossible to find sunglasses that suit my face shape and when these little beauties caught my eye on the ASOS website I thought it was worth a try (free return delivery and all that!) I prefer tortoise shell over black glasses for Summer and the cat eye detail makes them feel a little vintage - for £12 you can't ask more than that!

They arrived a week or so ago and haven't left my face since. Even though they're now a little wonky from being sat on...I couldn't care less...this is true love!

PRIMARK HAUL April 2014

If you're not subscribed to my YouTube channel  you may have missed the hefty Primark haul I did a couple of weeks ago. I picked up some absolutely amazing pieces to bulk up my Spring wardrobe and  if you haven't been to your local store in a while I definitely would recommend it!
