1,500 Pennies

Fedora - Topman sale similar HERE
Cardigan - Charity Shop
T shirt - COS
Leggings - H&M (old)
Converse - Office

This cardigan might be my best EVER charity shop find!

I spied it whilst browsing through the Bristol charity shops with my sister over the Easter weekend and was instantly smitten! From the colours to the oversized shape and the fluffy texture of the knit, it's perfect and only cost me a measly £15!!

I like to think I don't own many "marmite" love/hate items...but turns out this definitely is one. Although I couldn't think of anything more beautiful it has actually made some people gag!
Are you a lover or a hater?

Tied Up Tight

Coat - Charity Shop
Cardigan - Primark
T Shirt - Primark
Trousers - COS
Boots - Primark
Bag - Mulberry (gift)

This is what I wore yesterday for a leisurely pub lunch in the sunshine. With the weather being so sunny but cold I really couldn't work out what to wear so decided to layer up with my favourite coat and snazzy new cardigan.

This cardigan is a dream. I picked it up on a casual trip to Primark for a fiver...five little pounds...yes please!! It's a burgundy aztec print with fluffy texture, perfect for layering up in these colder months. I wore it round my waist Will.i.am. style for most of the day until the chills really did settle in. Be prepared to see a whole lot more of this bad boy as it's shot straight into my staples!

Paired with my breton stripe tee, waxed trousers and Primark chelsea boots this was the perfect outfit for bumming around in the sunshine. I actually filmed myself getting ready and will be posting it on my Youtube channel at some point this week so watch out for that!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

The Big Pink

Coat - "vintage"
Trousers - COS (gift)
Boots - New Look sale HERE
T Shirt - COS (gift)
Necklace - Zara

If 2014 was the year for stepping outside of my comfort zone this coat is one of the biggest leaps I'll probably take!

Unless you've lived under a rock for the last couple of months you can't have failed to notice that pink coats have been THE trend for AW2014. Although I love the look of them I am reluctant to buy something that I may only wear for a season or so but then this little beauty came into my life...for free!
I'm going to call it "vintage" but it's a hand-me-down from my Granny. Having admired it over Xmas I was only too pleased when she casually passed it onto me!

It's bright pink and fleecy...really not my cup of tea but there's something about it that I was instantly drawn to. What do you think?

Teamed with messy hair and a simple outfit I think it's the perfect nod towards the current neon trend for SS14 and yes I've finally jumped on that bandwaggon. Pink Ladies together.

My love for t shirt dresses continues...

This glittery copper coloured one from COS was a Christmas present and already a definite staple in my wardrobe.

Belted with a dark denim shirt for shape and topped off with my usual ankle boots/fedora combo this is the perfect outfit for a casual night out. When the weather turns bad I'll add thick tights and an oversized coat to keep warm...ready for anything!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Teddy Boy

Fluffy jumper - Primark
Waxed trousers - COS (gift)
Converse - Office

Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It's 2014 and it's going to be amazing!

My main resolution for this year is to make myself happy. It sounds simple but with the impending doom of turning 25 fast approaching (August...still a little while...phew!) I'm not afraid to admit I've been going through a bit of a quarter life crisis. I've obsessed over how unhappy I am in my job, how empty my savings account is and how boring my eulogy would be if I got hit by a bus tomorrow...

Although it is a pretty depressing situation when all laid bare in front of you, it does also bring the realisation that YOU CAN do something about it and change all those things you're not totally satisfied with.

To cut to the relevant bit re blogging, this year I am 100% dressing for myself. Simples. I will no longer ignore that perfect kooky outfit that I've formed in my head for the same Primark skater dress and chunky boots that I wore 2 weeks ago, because I think my imaginary outfit might be a bit "out there"...bothered?

Coat - Charity Shop

This casual outfit is something I would definitely have opted out of wearing a year or so ago.

There's a definite chance of a camel toe incident, my stomach is dangerously close to escaping through my jumper/jeans gap and frankly rolled trousers with converse make me feel like a boy...but I lurve it!

Nails - Barry M Matte Black

These Primark fluffy jumpers were the must-haves of last season and I got given this one for Christmas along with these amaaaaaaaaaaazing high waisted trousers from COS.

These trousers are the dream. They have a shine to them and almost look like leather but are made of a canvas style material coated with a waxy layer. I love the combination of the two textures together, one very girlie and soft and the other fitted and modern.

Sasssssssssssssssssssssy pose - my own

It's only baby steps outside of my comfort zone but it's a start.

What do you think of this boyish look?
