1,500 Pennies

Fedora - Topman sale similar HERE
Cardigan - Charity Shop
T shirt - COS
Leggings - H&M (old)
Converse - Office

This cardigan might be my best EVER charity shop find!

I spied it whilst browsing through the Bristol charity shops with my sister over the Easter weekend and was instantly smitten! From the colours to the oversized shape and the fluffy texture of the knit, it's perfect and only cost me a measly £15!!

I like to think I don't own many "marmite" love/hate items...but turns out this definitely is one. Although I couldn't think of anything more beautiful it has actually made some people gag!
Are you a lover or a hater?

In Love With Ginger

Fedora - Miss Selfridge
Dress - gift (originally Urban Outfitters I think...maybe...)
Boots - New Look sale HERE

This is my absolute favourite kind of outfit.
You can never go wrong with a minidress and chunky boots - FACT.

Dress it up/dress it down/hot weather/cold weather, it's the most adaptable look ever and practically my unofficial uniform!

This dress is both sweet and sexy at the same time with the combination of the zip detail and flippy girlie skirt so to toughen it up I put it with my chunky worker boots from New Look. I'm still completely in love with them and noticed they're now only £14 on the NL website goddamit!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend

All That Glitters

Fedora - Miss Selfridge similar HERE
T Shirt Dress - COS (gift)
Shirt - H&M similar HERE
Boots - Matalan similar HERE

Nails - Barry M Matte Black HERE

My love for t shirt dresses continues...

This glittery copper coloured one from COS was a Christmas present and already a definite staple in my wardrobe.

Belted with a dark denim shirt for shape and topped off with my usual ankle boots/fedora combo this is the perfect outfit for a casual night out. When the weather turns bad I'll add thick tights and an oversized coat to keep warm...ready for anything!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Camo Kid

Jeans - New Look HERE
Camo Jacket - New Look sale
Boots - Ebay HERE
Faux Fur - Ebay HERE
Fedora - Miss Selfridge HERE
Cross Ring - Ebay HERE

I'm a born and bred "Army brat" and have always associated camouflage with my dad and the military life that I've lived. In my opinion it's something to be respected and worn only by those who have earned it...but then some fashion genius decided that it could be worn by anyone anywhere...

This is the only piece of camouflage I own, it took forever find and for me it's perfect. It's a simple, oversized camouflage shirt. No tacky militia buttons or badges or shoulder detail. That's it. Plain and simple. Respectful.

In a funny sort of way it's almost subtle especially when paired with different textures such as my fave faux fur collar and Chloe wannabe booties. A subtle nod to fashion and family in one snug little Autumn outfit.

Stitch and Bitch

Fedora - Miss Selfridge HERE (black sold out online)
Cropped Jumper - Primark
Trousers - Primark
Heeled Brogues - Topshop (sale)
Necklace - Zara HERE

Ohhhhhh yes, more tartan!

I picked up this beaut cropped knit from Primark the other day and perfectly with my high waisted trousers. My midriff is a whole lot chunkier than I would like but I guess flashing the flesh won't be appropriate for much longer at this rate, so I'd better make the most of it!

On another note...this necklace makes me dieeeeeeeee. I spotted it on the Zara website the other day and decided to head to Oxford Circus to view it in the flesh in the hopes that I wouldn't like it and might save myself the money! But I just couldn't resist it... In real life it's a lot chunkier than on the website and the silver is a lot more dull and antique looking...it's amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. I'm left £20 lighter but I couldn't give a damn!

This outfit is one of my all time favourites for Autumn and I'd wear it with flat ankle boots or pumps during the day time or with courts in the evening.

What's your favourite piece of statement jewellery?

TARTAN 3 Ways: Day

Fedora - Miss Selfridge
Jumper - Topman (bfs)
Dress - Primark
Socks - Topshop
Pumps - Topshop

For this daytime look I used my Primark dress as a base layered with a classic burgundy knit and topped with a fedora. Knee high socks with tartan can be a little risky but paired with flats they are a cool alternative to tights before the weather turns arctic and flashing some flesh is totally out of the question! This isn't the most flattering of outfits but it's ridiculously warm and comfy, perfect for running errands or a lazy day at home.

Autumn is all about layering and a little flash of tartan makes any outfit a little more festive and in my opinion you can never have enough of it. I've got my beady eye on a couple more pieces to add to my collection : this skirt from Missguided, this dress from Boohoo and this suit (blazer & trousers) from ASOS. A girl can dream...*sigh*...

Hope you've all had a beaut of a weekend! D and I have just returned from our weekend in Blackpool so keep a lookout for a vlog on my YouTube channel later this week!

Bloggers Lookbook: May 2013

The Little Magpie - Getting On ABit

Photo belongs to Amy - http://amybell-thelittlemagpie.blogspot.co.uk

Amy's blog is one of my absolute favourite reads. The outfits she wears on a daily basis are always totally unique and eclectic pulled together with statement jewellery and amaaaaaazing hair but this post really stood out for me.
A DIY safety pin dress that Liz Hurley would be jealous of, cut out boots and a fedora for an all-black beaut of a look in themselves but mixed with cowboy jewellery and a to-die-for kimono...top of the class Amy!

Sara Luxe - Choies Choice

Photo belongs to Sara - http://www.saraluxe.com When I was younger I wanted to be a witch. Sadly this was not to be, but if it had been, this is exactly the kind of stylish all black outfit I would wear!
Sara's looks are always effortlessly cool and she mixes slightly "out-there" pieces with high street staples in a way which turns me green with envy. This little dress with cobwebby type shoulder detail paired with chunky lace up boots and quirky glasses is still making me dribble a month later!

Photo belongs to Lily - http://www.llymlrs.com

Anyone who follows Lily's blog will be aware of her undying love for monochrome outfits. I'm not a massive fan of the look on myself but Lily pulls it off with aplomb by choosing unusual pieces and accessories to add to otherwise simple outfits.
This look is my all time favourite posts of hers. Those incredible trousers are paired with a plain cold shoulder t shirt to keep all the focus on their print and vibrant colour - love love loveeeeee Lily!

What do you think of the bloggers looks I've chosen?

Bloggers Lookbook: April 2013

I'm spending this bank holiday weekend at my parents in the countryside so I will be mostly mooching round in wellies and pj bottoms!

Therefore as there won't be an outfit  post of mine this weekend, I decided to put together a post featuring a collection of my fave blogger looks from the last month.

Rosie Glow - The Carrie Tutu
Errrrrrr...wow... Rosie produces amazing outfits with a quirky edge on a daily basis but this crazy cool look made my jaw hit the floor!

Jade Francesca - It's in the stars...
This incredible outfit actually featured on Jade's blog at the end of March but it's too good not to feature in my favourites. Not only does she have a wardrobe to die for but this gal has a knack for mixing up beautiful boho looks with an edge - crochet, lace flares and plaits together, yes please!

Wise Rabbit Says - Square, Circle, Triangle
Gaaaaah Ashley how do you do it? Another effortless mix of shapes, textures and wishlist accessories which makes me want to take scissors to my jeans and rock a fedora ASAP!

It goes without saying that if you aren't already followers of these blogging beauts, you should become one pronto. Their blogs are all totally unique and their individual styles are completely inspirational!

What do you think of the top three I've chosen?
