Funny Looking Angels

Jacket - vintage
Dress- Topshop
Converse - Office
Lipstick - Revlon Black Cherry

You may or may not remember me...it's been a while...

This is not only my first post of 2015 but also my first post for the last 6 months or so, whoop! If you're interested to know what I've been up to, check out my Youtube channel for a little update video which will be coming shortly!

But you've not come to hear about life and general mundane waffle...let's cut to the chase and get down to the clothes...

Now stop me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure I do say this about 99% of the outfits I blog, but I really mean it this time...this outfit is my ABSOLUTE DREAM. It's grungy, girlie, practical and a little bit sassy all at once!

The dress was a bargain in the Topshop sale a couple of years ago. It's an absolute fairytale of lace and chiffon with a high neck, but for someone with a reasonable bosom and gut, it's definitely got the potential to turn you from floaty fairy to bundled up pudding...!

To err on the side of caution and avoid any pudding-style scenarios I paired it with this oversized denim jacket, converse and gothic lip. The whole look just seems to pull together into a satisfying eclectic mash that would be perfect for pretty much any occasion from work to play!

p.s. I've missed y'all, hope you had the most amazing Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2015 is going to be good, promise! xx

1,500 Pennies

Fedora - Topman sale similar HERE
Cardigan - Charity Shop
T shirt - COS
Leggings - H&M (old)
Converse - Office

This cardigan might be my best EVER charity shop find!

I spied it whilst browsing through the Bristol charity shops with my sister over the Easter weekend and was instantly smitten! From the colours to the oversized shape and the fluffy texture of the knit, it's perfect and only cost me a measly £15!!

I like to think I don't own many "marmite" love/hate items...but turns out this definitely is one. Although I couldn't think of anything more beautiful it has actually made some people gag!
Are you a lover or a hater?

Sunshine On My Window Makes Me Happy

Cropped Jumper - Primark
Anklet (worn as necklace) - The Bohemian Collective HERE
Dress- Primark
Converse - Office HERE

The weather in England has been absolutely amazing for the last week or so. Blue skies and sunshine pretty much every day! Annoyingly all my summer clothes are bagged up and hidden away for "summer" so I've been having to put together warm weather outfits out of my Autmn/Winter wardrobe.

This skater dress from Primark has already featured on my blog HERE and I was obsessed with this cropped jumper over the Christmas period (see HERE ) so I thought why not combine the two! I think the flouncy skater skirt of the dress mixed with the cream jumper really lends itself to spring/summer and of course a floral/cream colour palette is just perfect for this kind of weather. This kind of outfit could really easily be adapted for cold weather with ankle boots and black tights but I decided to tone down it's femininity with dirty ole converse!

Typically, having boasted about how amazing the weather is, whilst sitting here typing this up all I can see outside is grey sky and people putting up their umbrellas...

Teddy Boy

Fluffy jumper - Primark
Waxed trousers - COS (gift)
Converse - Office

Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It's 2014 and it's going to be amazing!

My main resolution for this year is to make myself happy. It sounds simple but with the impending doom of turning 25 fast approaching (August...still a little while...phew!) I'm not afraid to admit I've been going through a bit of a quarter life crisis. I've obsessed over how unhappy I am in my job, how empty my savings account is and how boring my eulogy would be if I got hit by a bus tomorrow...

Although it is a pretty depressing situation when all laid bare in front of you, it does also bring the realisation that YOU CAN do something about it and change all those things you're not totally satisfied with.

To cut to the relevant bit re blogging, this year I am 100% dressing for myself. Simples. I will no longer ignore that perfect kooky outfit that I've formed in my head for the same Primark skater dress and chunky boots that I wore 2 weeks ago, because I think my imaginary outfit might be a bit "out there"...bothered?

Coat - Charity Shop

This casual outfit is something I would definitely have opted out of wearing a year or so ago.

There's a definite chance of a camel toe incident, my stomach is dangerously close to escaping through my jumper/jeans gap and frankly rolled trousers with converse make me feel like a boy...but I lurve it!

Nails - Barry M Matte Black

These Primark fluffy jumpers were the must-haves of last season and I got given this one for Christmas along with these amaaaaaaaaaaazing high waisted trousers from COS.

These trousers are the dream. They have a shine to them and almost look like leather but are made of a canvas style material coated with a waxy layer. I love the combination of the two textures together, one very girlie and soft and the other fitted and modern.

Sasssssssssssssssssssssy pose - my own

It's only baby steps outside of my comfort zone but it's a start.

What do you think of this boyish look?
