Catching The Sparks That Flew From Her Heels

Cropped top - Primark
Midi Skirt - Primark
Shoes - FCUK Juines via Ebay
Clutch - Matalan (old)
Lipstick - Topshop "Depth"

A couple of months ago I picked up this amazing rose gold midi skirt from Primark. It doesn't fit well at all but the sheer beauty of it and the teeny price tag (£12) had me sold!

I've paired it with my fluffy cropped jumper and favourite heels of the moment to make the perfect outfit for a night of drinks or dancing! This is actually pretty much what I wore for Christmas Day all those months ago and luckily the pale, girlie colours really suit for Spring!

All the pretty pink sequins and fluffy textures were too much so I had to top the look off with a super dark gothic lip. I've shown this lipstick on my Youtube Channel before and its had really mixed reactions but I absolutely love it!

Hope you're all having a lovely week and enjoying this amazing weather! Apparently it's due to turn nassssssty for the Easter weekend...good ole England eh?

Fangirl

 Dress - Fashion Union
Boots - Matalan (old)
Coat - Vintage
Lipstick - Sleek "Smother"

If you follow my Instagram (ABritishBunny) you may already know that the other weekend we all headed off to Oxford to watch Dan fight for the title...aaaaaaaaaaand...he won with a KO in the first round and now he has the GoT style title of "WELTER WEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE SOUTHERN REGION" and this big ole belt for keeps!
(Here's the video if you're interested)

It's always tricky to know what to wear to these things. Although it's classed as a fight "night" we normally arrive around 2/3 ish and don't leave til gone 9. The dresscode varies from tracksuits to ballgowns (no joke) so I tend to plonk for my usual smart/casual dress and boots combination.

I got this T Shirt dress from Fashion Union (super cheap but really slow delivery time) a while ago. As the material is super clingy and highlights any lumps and bumps it's been sitting on my clothes rail waiting for me to lose a bit of weight for a while, so literally jumped at me for the chance to accompany Spanx to fight night!

I love this kind of oversized shift dress with ankle boots and the mesh panelling on the sleeves makes it a more edgy, evening piece. Obviously my favourite Matalan boots were called for duty and threw on my "vintage" pink coat for a bit of warmth!

It was a brilliant evening and I'm so proud of the victories achieved by Dan and his team.

But the real question is...who can pull off the Champion look better?

Laura Ralph

Two Piece - Laura Ralph
Clutch - gift similar HERE
Shoes - Matalan similar HERE

If you've seen my recent HAUL VIDEO you may have already seen this amazing two piece I got from Laura Ralph! I've been following her on Facebook for a while, biding my time and waiting for the perfect fabric to appear so as soon as I saw this beautiful grey oriental style print I jumped on it! The price for a trouser set is £35 inc p&p and as they're made to order there's an estimated ten day delivery time...but it's soooo worth the wait!

I ordered my set in a 10 - 12 and the only gripe I have is that the top is a little teeny for my 34DD chest so I would definitely advise sizing up if possible if you're on the busty side. The trousers are perfection and can easily be worn by themselves. They're high waisted, elasticated and suprisingly there's not even an inkling of camel toe!

Originally I was planning to save this outfit for the perfect occasion but I've had it for nearly 2 months now and I just couldn't wait to wear it any longer! Ideally I'd be toned and tanned...I'm definitely not yet but I still love it and can only look forward to how much better it will look when I am in shape! In summer I want to style it with coloured accessories and a flower crown so you'll definitely be seeing this again.

Do go check out Laura's Facebook page HERE to see if anything tickles your fancy! I'm already on the look out for a summer short set...

Ghost Stories

Cardigan - Primark
Dress - Primark
Bowler Hat - Primark
Knee Socks - Primark
Boots - Matalan

The other weekend Dan and I headed up to London for a little date night. We went for a drink then headed over to the Arts Theatre to watch "Ghost Stories" (website link HERE). If you haven't heard of it it's pretty much a horror film on stage...I don't want to give anything away but it's completely different to anything I've ever seen and both Dan and I loved it! Tickets aren't too expensive at all and we'd both highly recommend it if you're stuck for date night plans!

My outfit is pretty much head to toe Primark but that's nothing new! It's a  simple outfit based around my new denim skater dress and cardigan, but I think swapping tights for knee highs and topping it off with my bowler hat make it just that little bit more interesting.

What do you think?

Urban Mermaid

Skeleton T Shirt - Primark similar HERE
Checked Shirt - Primark (mens)
Sequin Skirt - Motel Rocks (last year)
Boots - Matalan

Sequins, skeletons and lumberjack plaid...doesn't sound like a winning combination but I kind of love it!

This really was a last minute "thrown together" outfit for a night out in Brixton. I wore it when we headed to Hootenanny's for a night of dancing to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays the other weekend. It was an amazing night and this outfit was the most perfect combination of party/gig wear!

What do you think of this mashed up outfit?

3 Years and Counting...

Sequin T Shirt - Matalan
Jeans - New Look similar HERE
Boots - Primark similar HERE
Fedora - Miss Selfridge similar HERE
Scarf - ASOS similar HERE

This is what I wore to celebrate mine and Dan's 3 year anniversary. I don't think either of us can honestly believe that it's been that long!!

We decided to go out for a low key curry HERE and it was totally amazing! Apparently the Beckham clan ate there a couple of weeks ago (there was plenty of photo evidence) so if you're ever in the area do check it out as it comes very highly recommended.

Date night is a chance to dress up so I popped on this sequin t shirt (from the Matalan sale last year) and my ripped New Look jeans. Paired with my faux suede chelsea boots from Primark this is the most perfect outfit for a celebratory curry evening!

Hope you're all having a lovely Saturday evening! I'm spending the weekend at my parents house in the country and am currently wrapped up in my onesie, in front of the fire, waiting for The Voice and Take Me Out...#perfectsaturdaynight

My love for t shirt dresses continues...

This glittery copper coloured one from COS was a Christmas present and already a definite staple in my wardrobe.

Belted with a dark denim shirt for shape and topped off with my usual ankle boots/fedora combo this is the perfect outfit for a casual night out. When the weather turns bad I'll add thick tights and an oversized coat to keep warm...ready for anything!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

As The Crow Flies

Cropped Jumper - Primark similar HERE and
Belt- Primark
Dipped Hem Skirt - New Look similar HERE
Boots - Matalan

I wore this outfit to a late "Christmas" party the other weekend. Paired with a slash of dark lipstick and messy hair it's suddenly become one of my favourite outfits of late.

Yes I know it's similar to my previous outfit post - monochrome ft a white, cropped Primark jumper - but I just love how simple and effective it is with the contasting colours, textures and lengths between the jumper and skirt.

You could pair this basic combination with converse and a messy bun or a fedora and fishtail plait to style it up or down.

Rings - Ebay HERE

Of course no outfit is complete without accessories and for this I matched my belt buckle to my rings for gold accents.

These rings. There are no words.

I saw Kavita from She Wears Fashion wearing a similar set and managed to get my paws on these ones from trusty old Ebay! FYI the "one size fits all sizing" is liessssssssssssssssssssssssssss...half of them are too big for me, so to avoid them flying off my fingers mid-twerk I squeezed some of them tighter with pliers. Sorted!

TARTAN 3 Ways: Date/Drinks/Work

Let's talk tartan trousers.

It was love at first sight but as soon as we were home together I questioned my decision to embark on a relationship with something I wasn't totally comfortable with.Normal statement trousers are a daunting prospect enough, let alone a bright red, slightly fluffy pair. I took them on test run dinners and drinks paired with t shirt, jumpers and crop tops but it wasn't until I spotted this silky, boyfriend style t-shirt in New Look that I knew I'd made the right decision. And we lived happily ever after...(not that you can tell from my miserable expression)!

T shirt - New Look HERE
Trousers - Primark
Shoes - Matalan
Necklace - Primark
Bag  - gift

The plain colour and boxy fit of this t shirt really contrast with the bold print and heavy texture of these trousers and the whole look is pulled together with a statement gold necklace to match the accents on my bag and shoes.

In my opinion this outfit is pretty versatile and could easily be worn out for date night, drinks or a works do. To wear it during the day I'd switch the necklace for rings and the metallic courts for smart pumps all pulled together with a chunky cardigan or scarf. I've already considered pairing the trousers with sequins, clashing prints and tailored shirts so be prepared to see a lot more posts featuring these in the next couple of months!

How would you style these statement trousers?

London Fashion Week #2 WIWHW

Coat - Ebay similar HERE
Top - Matalan sale (v old)
Kilt - Charity Shop
Bag - Gift
Shoes - Primark

This outfit is at the other end of the spectrum from my last LFW styled post, but why the hell not?!

Now that Autumn has definitely settled it's time to dig the tartan out and this bargain kilt has been gagging for an outing since I bought it at the start of the year. It just happened to be hanging next to this sequin t shirt in my wardrobe and...tadaaaah! To beat the chill I gave in to fashionista peer pressure and decided to DRAPE my coat rather than wear it. It's pretty impractical but I do actually quite like the way it looks...The whole look is rounded up with black accessories and an easy peasy beehive!

So that's that! What do you think of my two imaginary LFW looks?

I actually might make this WIWHW idea a regular feature! It gives me a chance to dress up and pretend I'm one of the cool kids every so often.
