London Fashion Week #2 WIWHW

Coat - Ebay similar HERE
Top - Matalan sale (v old)
Kilt - Charity Shop
Bag - Gift
Shoes - Primark

This outfit is at the other end of the spectrum from my last LFW styled post, but why the hell not?!

Now that Autumn has definitely settled it's time to dig the tartan out and this bargain kilt has been gagging for an outing since I bought it at the start of the year. It just happened to be hanging next to this sequin t shirt in my wardrobe and...tadaaaah! To beat the chill I gave in to fashionista peer pressure and decided to DRAPE my coat rather than wear it. It's pretty impractical but I do actually quite like the way it looks...The whole look is rounded up with black accessories and an easy peasy beehive!

So that's that! What do you think of my two imaginary LFW looks?

I actually might make this WIWHW idea a regular feature! It gives me a chance to dress up and pretend I'm one of the cool kids every so often.

London Fashion Week #1 WIWHW

This post is a little deceiving. If you've clicked on it to check out all the London Fashion Week street style snaps and usual outfit spotting antics of other bloggers...you're in the wrong place.

WIWHW stands for "what I would have worn"...

Sunglasses - Ebay HERE
Coat - Charity Shop
Dress - Charity Shop
Boots - "Attitude" boots from Topshop HERE
Body chain - Primark

So this is WIWHW for a daytime session at LFW!

A coat was a necessity. This year the weather was awful and I noticed that although plenty of fashionistas started Day 1 in bralets and cutouts, by Day 3 they were all wrapped up in fedoras and knitwear!

Pastel colours are all the rage for outerwear this season apparently, so my staple cocoon coat would be both a practical and fashion conscious choice especially when paired with my paisley maxi dress which practically screams "Russian folklore/hippy chic". Sunglasses are an obvious must have daaaaahling (these bug-eyed beauts were an absolute Ebay bargain) and of course statement shoes are a must. These boots aren't the most comfortable and I wouldn't want to spend hours traipsing the streets in them, but for a couple of hours they would definitely be bearable enough!

Finally a LFW outfit wouldn't be ready without the addition of some kindy of "quirky" accessory, I decided to play it safe and go with my Primark bodychain. What do you think of my daytime look?

Fingers crossed that maybe one day I'll actually get to go! In the meantime stalking everyone's blog posts will have to do.

Harlem Shake

T Shirt - Primark
Necklace - Primark
Jeans - H&M sale
Boots - Primark

This is a super comfy outfit made up of current "summer" favourite items from ma fave high street hunnies! It's a super comfy look which can be transformed into an Autumn look with the addition of a chunky knit, beanie or winter coat.

It's come to my attention that every single of one my recent outfit posts have featured at least one item of Primarni finery. I know it's not to everyone's taste, even my own sister hates the idea of cheap/disposable clothing, but my current love of Primark is unshakeable. In my opinion life is too short to save month after month for that dreamy designer piece and personally I'd rather live my life in the fast lane and switch up my wardrobe on a regular basis.

Primark - for or against? Which side are you on?

Girls Who Watch Boys Who Watch Girls

Dress - Primark
Clutch - Primark sale
Socks - Primark
Shoes - French Connection "Juines" HERE

Heels with frilly socks, now there's a combo I didn't think I'd ever be seen wearing. Dress and heels, yes of course, but the addition of these "girlie-girl" socks was something quite out of the ordinary for me.

This bargain Primark dress paired with a colour block clutch and stonking great heels makes for the perfect date night/girls night out look and the socks just add a little summin' summin'. Whether it was a moment of madness or a lightning bolt of brilliance I couldn't tell you, but I'm glad I took a leap of faith and stepped out of my comfort zone as I actually kind of love this look!

How would you style the socks/heels combination?

Here Comes The Clash

Top - Topshop sale
Shorts - Primark
Shoes - -Primark
Sunglasses - Primark

It's my belief that this top/short combination was always meant to be together in a beautiful patterned matrimony. They travelled from two opposing fashion brands to find each other in my wardrobe and create a faux playsuit of my dreams.

You can't help but to notice the navy colour and checked print reflected through each piece that led me to bind them together in an eternal union of clashing happiness. Hurrah for pairing prints with prints, long may this relationship last!

Dancing On My Own

Two Piece - Missguided HERE and HERE
Shoes - Primark
Belt - Primark

I'm back! Apologies for the total lack of bloggage over the last two weeks, I hope absence really does make the heart grow fonder!

This beautiful lace two piece is one of those outfits that I bought back at the start of the year on a whim. It's been sitting in my cupboard for a fair few months waiting for a suitable occasion and I only recently made the decision to wear it out to a friend's gig.

The truth is I was scared. This outfit is ridiculously unforgiving what with it's skintight nature and crop-gap the perfect size for a fat roll to creep through. Even with spanx every lump and bump is visible. This was an outfit to be worn amongst friends in a casual environment. I know some of you may be thinking, why wear it at all if you're not comfortable, but I refuse to intimidated by clothes especially when I've already paid for them! Does anyone else feel the same?

But in the end I manned up, bit the bullet, paired it with my trusty Primark "Vans" to avoid any further awkwardness and danced the night away!
